How to Merge PDF Files Privately in Your Browser

Combine several PDFs into one without uploading them to a server. Steps, ordering tips, and what to do with the result.

How to Merge PDF Files Privately in Your Browser

Contracts, application packs and ID scans are exactly the documents you don't want to hand to a random upload site. A browser-based merge keeps the files on your own device.

Steps

  1. Open the Merge PDF tool and drop two or more PDFs.
  2. Drag the files into the order you want.
  3. Press merge and download the combined PDF.

Tidy the result

  • Remove unwanted pages first with Delete PDF Pages.
  • Add page numbers after merging with Add PDF Page Numbers.
  • If the merged file is too large for a form, use Compress PDF — note that it turns pages into images, so keep the original if you need selectable text.

How private is it?

The merge runs inside your browser, so the PDFs are not uploaded. The full list of what runs where, including the one feature that does use a server, is on the privacy page.
